Thank you for your continued support of Fandom Tokyo.
We are writing to inform all of our customers in the European Union (EU) about an upcoming change in customs regulations that may affect your future orders.
Effective July 1, 2026, the EU will abolish the current "De Minimis" rule for low-value imports. Please review the details below to understand how this will impact your purchases:
1. Changes to Customs Duties
-
Until June 30: Orders with a total value below €150 were exempt from customs duties.
-
From July 1 onwards: A standard customs duty of €3 will apply to all orders, including those below €150.
2. Import VAT (Value Added Tax)
-
Regardless of the order value, Import VAT will continue to be charged based on the legal tax rate of your specific country.
3. Important Note on Shipping & Timing
This new regulation applies to all packages that clear customs on or after July 1, 2026.
-
Please be aware that even if your order is shipped before July 1, it will be subject to the new €3 duty and VAT if it arrives at the EU customs office on or after July 1.
We highly recommend placing your orders early if you wish to avoid these new charges under the current rules.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions regarding your upcoming orders, please feel free to contact us.
Best regards, Fandom Tokyo
